O’ Christmas Tree! My Christmas Tree!

So I was totally stressed about my Christmas tree this year… mainly because I didn’t have one. But I scored this unbelievable pre-lit 7.5 footer at my local Goodwill for $39! I can’t for the life of me figure out how a tree in this good of condition ended up there, but I am so happy the person took it there just for me! How nice! 😉

I wrapped the tree in silver sparkle tulle ($10 for 10 yards which I cut in half lengthwise).  I added some cheetah ribbon for $2 a roll. I shoved in a couple leaves and feathers I already had… that was my foundation.

Then, believe it or not, I got the majority of my ornaments from the 99 Cent Only Store. In my opinion they don’t look it at all.  All the glitter and silver ones. I had the all the word ornaments (i.e. Joy, Noel) from my previous tree.

These are the KMart Mecury Glass Acorns that I got for $2.67. I love these!

And Voile! No more stress. A Christmas tree designed for less than $100 including the tree! I am pretty happy with the result!

But I keep seeing all these fresh tree lots everywhere and it got me wondering… does anyone still do fresh trees? What is it at your house? I’d love to know!

Happy Tuesday!

That looks fantastic! Much better than any other $100 (TOTAL) tree I’ve ever seen! We have an artificial tree….which I have wired the ornaments on, and we stretch-wrap it in industrial plastic each year, so all we have to do at Christmastime is a little fluffing. Totally the best way to go.

We have an artificial tree at our house too, saving trees and less clean up. If I want the smell of pine I always light a pine scented candle or use air spray. The Glade seasonal candles and sprays are very inexpensive and do the trick:) Happy Holidays to you!!! Love your ideas and blog site, you inspire:)

Thanks for stopping by Jill! I think I’ll go pick up some pine scented Glade candles today as per your suggestion! Anything to boost the Holiday spirit! 😉

That’s funny! I have the utmost confidence you could have done it yourself. Your taste is exquisite! I miss lunch with my old friend Kristy… and adventure Fridays! Maybe you could do an adventure Friday down here in AZ! 😉
