NataLee,
I don’t really have a picture for this one, but a big problem I have in my condo is decorating one bedroom that is shared by a 3-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl. Other than splitting the room down the center with a long piece of tape, I don’t know what to do. I would love any ideas you can send my way.
Thank you!
Jana
Dear Jana,
My husband grew up in a very large family and shared a room with his sisters too. Hopefully my ideas will give you some inspiration. There are two options: go gender neutral or the same style, but different colors.
First, gender neutral. There is something so nostalgic about sock monkeys to me… so I adore this bedroom. The creams and browns with a touch of red is simply wonderful. This type of room could carry your kids for many years to come.
This room could be good for either sex as well.
Now I know the toile fabric in this room is a little feminine, but the color palette works well for both sexes.
Now for same style, different colors. Here is good example of what I mean. Same bedding and accessories… one pink, one blue. But they both work well together.
This room is so adorable. Quirky and cute all in one. Perfect for a shared bedroom between brother and sister.
Well, I hope these ideas were helpful! Would love to see pictures of the finished product.

NataLee,
The last two rooms are my favorites. (Especially the “No boys/girls allowed!”) I’m inspired and ready to get to work. Thank you, as always, for your great ideas!
soooo cute. This looks like something Natalee would put together herself.
