Monster Mash Up

I thought it would be fun to do some of my favorite Pinterest/Blog holiday finds here on the blog occasionally. I love Pinterest… and have been “pinning” things long before it was around. Did you guys also have picture files saved on your computer of all the things that inspired you? It can’t be just me. So I will start out with some fun Halloween inspirations…

Well, I fell love with monster google eye treats last year when I came across these brownies!

1. Buy This, Cook That

Monster Mash Brownies

So last year for a “Halloweenie Roast” that I hosted for my kids and their friends, I decided I would attempt to make something similar. Here’s my version:

Buy This, Cook That had a wonderful recipe and tutorial for the most sinful version of this recipe. It looked amazing. But I was really busy at the time, so I took their inspiring version and simplified it for myself. The brownies are just Ghiradelli dark chocolate brownies… my favorite (this is not a sponsored post, I just like them, by the way)! Then I made a mint flavored frosting which I divided in half and colored green and purple.

They were actually pretty fun to make and ended up being a huge hit. Since then I have seen all kinds of fun monster/googly eyed treats/decor that I thought would be fun to share on here. So here are a few of my favorites:
