Help Me Design My New Home!!

As you may know, we are moving to Mesa, Arizona this weekend… and I would LOVE your help in designing our new home!  I love this home because, as you will see, it is a complete blank slate. From white walls to white floors it is as vanilla as it gets, but I feel like the space is great. And as crazy as it sounds, I haven’t seen this house in person… my husband has, but my first time stepping foot in this home will be Saturday when we pull up with our moving truck! Crazy right?

Well, I already have big plans, but I would love to hear your ideas on what you would do with this house… from the walls to the floors… to the windows to doors… indoors to the outdoors… any ideas you have I want them all no holds bar.  Then watch over the next several months as I make this house a home.

Note…. These pictures are from the listing agent and this was the previous owner’s furniture and decor.

As you enter… Formal Dining Room (or possible library???)

Formal living room.

Kitchen… One of my challenges… lack of a good pantry. Ideas?

Breakfast nook off of kitchen.  (Possible window seat?)

Family room off kitchen. Like I said, it’s very, very white… in need of some color.

Master bedroom. It’s huge compared to what I am used to!

More window seats and possible bookcases??

Love the toilet seat up. Sorry about that. Master bath.

Office/nursery for our baby that’s on the way…

Baby Conner’s room…

RyLee’s room.

And we even got a pool in the backyard.

Would LOVE to hear all your ideas.

Happy Tuesday!

K! It’s a little intimidating telling a design star my opinion! I don’t know what you are planing to spend……but when I lived there I was not a fan of tile….it HURTS to walk on and is cold when the ac is on in the house which it usually is! I know this is a silly complaint BUT I would put in hardwood!!! I think your kitchen has so many possibilities and you are so luck it came with stainless steel!
OH PS! I would call ahead of time and get a contract with terminex and have them come out immediately!! Especially with little one’s just for black widows and scorpions! Tell them you have them so they will spray the strong stuff. It won’t harm you or smell while you are moving in!
I’ll keep pondering and give more ideas! What are your thoughts on window coverings….and for your pantry that isn’t there, what about a really large armoire to put dishes and things in instead if the cupboards?

I agree with Molly. Hardwood flooring would look great in that house – at least in the kitchen and dining area. Bamboo might be nice – eco-friendly too.

That bay window area just kind of screams ‘breakfast nook’. Is that what you were thinking?

Cute living spaces… What a fun blank canvas to start with. Cannot wait to see what you do!
