Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Kitchen and Dining

Since my friend Terry was on Extreme Makeover Home Edition and my fellow Design Star alumnus Nathan Galui (aka my brother from another mother) now works as a design producer for them, I wanted to do a series of some of my favorite room inspirations from the show. And let’s just face it, these homes are more beautiful than most model homes.  You may want to grab a napkin to wipe off the inevitable slobber that will be on your chin!

I am going to start with kitchens and dining rooms. Over the next couple of days, I will do other rooms.

This first kitchen is A-MAZE! My favorite by far. I love the circular design on the cabinet doors, the beams on the ceiling and the exposed brick. Love it, love it, love it!

Did I say I love this kitchen?

Love this little sitting room off this kitchen.

There’s that circular cabinet again.

Fun two tone cabinets, looks very high end.

How fun are the vintage looking red appliances?

Love this warm color palette… reminds me of autumn.

This is also a very NataLee kitchen with the aqua wall color and white cabinets… and I love the fun lighting over the bar.

These homes are always so perfectly staged!

This is a great kitchen/dining room. Love the crystal chandeliers…

It’s amazing that they can get such detailed trim work in such a short amount of time!

This kitchen is so bright and cheery.

Like the locker/coat storage…

This farm table is grreat and looks so sturdy!

How cool is this extremely aged wall. Would love to figure out how they did this.

Such a cool look right?

I love the girls house.  That’s a lot of mouths to feed.

Love the rustic look mixed next to the glitzy-glam look.

Some funky dining chairs.

Fun bold color scheme.

I am a huge fan of small scale wing back chairs as captain chairs.

I like the warm color scheme and the small window seat.

Love the damask wallpaper. Interesting puzzle piece table…

Love the silver sage walls with the white paneling.

Look Back tomorrow for living rooms and baths. Let the coveting continue…

Making the house you have, the home you want!
