Several years ago I set out to make the very best coconut cream pie I could. I researched everyone’s favorite techniques and tips to create this pie. This is my own recipe. I have protected it for years, but I feel like now it’s good enough to share. People tell me it’s the best coconut cream pie they have ever had. You'll have to let me know if they're right!
The Pie Crust
The first thing you will need to start with is the crust. This Pie Crust has a buttery flavor that is simply amazing! What I love most about this pie crust besides the amazing flavor, is the fact that it is so forgiving. Because I do not roll it in flour, if you need to move a piece from here to there for an even crust, it is really easy to do. It tastes more like a cookie than a crust... moist, yet flaky. Perfection!
