Several years ago I set out to make the very best coconut cream pie I could. I researched everyone’s favorite techniques and tips to create this pie. This is my own recipe. I have protected it for years and now I have decided it’s at a point that I feel it’s good enough to share. People tell me it’s the best coconut cream pie they have ever had.
**This recipe has been edited 12/1/18, I have decided flavor extracts have to be being thinned out these days so I needed to double the extract used in the custard to get the same flavor pungency I used to previously.
This recipe is not for the faint at heart. While it is a bit tedious, it is not really that hard, and it is definitely worth it!
