No. I am not dead. Alive and kicking…. But it’s been a weird couple years for me. But then again it’s been a weird couple years for our world, wouldn’t you agree?
I have she’d some tears… And some pounds…
I have had some health issues that humbled me, which lead me to a new approach to healthcare. I have grown much firmer in some of my beliefs and changed others. It’s been a year of learning and growing and ups and downs… For me personally and physically for all of my three children. I can’t believe how grown up they are…
3 Reasons I haven’t Been Blogging
1. I have been focusing on my family and my religion. The last time I was really actively blogging I lived in Arizona. That was like 2 1/2 years ago.
Then we up and moved from Arizona all the way to Maine!
This was a huge transition for myself and my family and I became even more focused on my family. So I consider this a very good thing… Even if I am still getting used to Maine winters!
But I now have a high schooler?! I still am coming to grips with that little fact… And 4 1/2 and 3 year old little boys that keep me really busy.
Additionally, I have been working on my relationship with my Father in Heaven. This means, more scripture study, more commitment at church (including a new calling last year to oversee our Primary Program-children 18 months-11 years old), more missionary work, and more service. I really feel closer to my Savior through this added focus, which has hopefully benefited my family on the whole.
2. I had some health issues. This past year was a very, very difficult one with regards to my health. It started out with some hip pain that progressively got worse… that opened a can of worms of odd physical ailments including ALOT of pain… that eventually motivated me to go to the doctors…. where they found a small growth inside my hip bone… which lead me on a wild goose chase and an insane amount of tests… Which was finally determined NOT to be the source of my hip pain after all or my other long list of weird symptoms… Which ultimately lead to a few diagnosis.
First of which, was hip dysplasia (yes… Like the common dog problem ;).
And I had a labral tear in my hip joint from running so much the previous summer while having the hip dysplasia that I didn’t even know about. I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia and a couple other things.
Last year was the twilight zone for health reasons…but with some very positive outcomes that I will discuss in length on this blog.
3. Lastly, I have been trying to determine what I really want this blog to be.
This blog has been primarily about design… Which I am absolutely passionate about, but there is so much more I love and am interested in.
So as of right now, this will be a lifestyle blog. I will talk about health, fitness, fashion, real estate, food, flowers, spiritual/uplifting, etc. But do not despair, I won’t forget where I’ve come from…. There will still be plenty of DIY/design!
In addition, there will also be an online store where you can shop for home decor and fashion accessories at affordable prices of course!
So, thank you for your patience and I look forward to much more blogging!
